DAVID SOUTHERN
Originally from the Wirral, now resident in Northumberland and splits his time between north and south, David has been photographing nature and landscapes from around the world for many years. David finds rich pickings for photography both close to home and in the remotest of locations and is never happier than battling the elements in pursuit of his passion for outdoor photography.
Having worked for the World Wildlife Fund for many years, he is well placed to understand how our runaway demand for natural resources is threatening the environment we depend on. His passion for the natural world is reflected in much of his photography and he has collaborated on recording WWF's conservation projects in Colombia, Malaysia and South Africa. He works full-time as a photographer, leading 1-to-1 and small group workshops and is currently working on a project to capture the landscapes of the Northumberland coast throughout the seasons.
His work has featured in many books, magazines and exhibitions and he has won awards in a number of competitions and is an experienced public speaker.
