Sarah's passion for photography started through her father, a keen amateur photographer. It was also a large part of her graphic design degree at Ravensbourne College of Art. She is now a freelance graphic designer and it is alongside this that she also pursues her photography and fine art interests.
The key factor and at the heart of Sarah's work is the marriage of light on land. She enjoys capturing the moment when light transforms the landscape through clouds, storms and natures elements, revealing atmosphere and textures.
Her work is held in private collections and she has exhibited in central London including The Mall Galleries and OXO Gallery. Sarah has won the Kent Wildlife Trust Photographer of the Year award and also appears in various publications, including Coast, Kent Life, Surrey Life and TGO (The Great Outdoors). She has written and produced photography for BBC Countryfile magazine and Outdoor photographer.
Sarah was commissioned by Leeds Castle to photograph the castle and grounds over the course of a year, capturing the seasons and weather. The project culminated in an exhibition held in the castle, called ‘One Year in 900’. Her images are now used on many Castle shop products along with being used in editorial and online media.
Sarah also leads regular photography workshops, including iphone photography for the National Trust and Kent Wildlife Trust. She is also part of the photography team and workshop leader at The Big Cat Sanctuary in Smarden Kent.
